![]() ![]() That car had issues almost from the day I picked it up at the factory. I traded in a 2018 M40i with less than 17,000 miles on it. I live in West Virginia & the curvy mountainous road here make that a needed feature. I paid extra for the Adaptive M Suspension. The changes in the infotainment system, the touch screen display is larger, the Apple Carplay, the wireless charging. I added the additional safety features to include a head-up display, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, front and rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, parallel park assist, and a surround-view parking camera system. The MTL can be used as a replacement for the factory MTF or MTF-LT2. Provides excellent protection of gears and synchronizers and its balanced slipperiness provides a perfect coefficient of friction, allowing easier shifting. The car already had the standard driver assistance features to include a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, driver drowsiness monitoring, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and traffic sign recognition. Red Line 70W/80W GL-4 MTL gear oil (SAE 5W30/10W30 engine oil viscosity) designed for use in BMW manual transmissions. The pickup, the starting & stopping, the smoother transition in the changing of gears all made this the car I wanted. The turbocharged six-cylinder engine went from 382 HP to 355 horsepower, the suspension upgrades, the larger steering wheel was again in the 2020. Still, traditionalists can take heart: the company is also developing another new generation of combustion engines for intro the same year.I love my 2020 BMW X3 M40i! WOW! I was amazed in all the changes that were made in 2 years from my 2018 model. From 2025 there will be a new batch of EVs called the Neue Klasse, with long range thanks to their batteries being built into the structure, and heavy reliance on recycled metals. But there are also the specialist all-in EVs, although that’s now only the iX since the i3's demise last summer. So there's no longer one for the driver aids, and that's a right pain. In fact the whole thing is borderline baffling (how many times have we said this with the latest cars?), too many functions, anti-intuitive, tries to do too much for you and mostly fails. But most of BMW's other shortcut buttons have been banished. The screen system itself works well, and you can configure it with multiple options. It’s a pair of curved screens joined under a single glass sheet, bracketed proud of the dash itself. Well, five-door hatch actually (there’s a big and useful boot out back). The i4's cabin is pretty much what we expect from a BMW sports saloon. 2019 BMW X1 Redline Review -The 2019 BMW X1 hybrid is the automakers most moderate model during the current year, and its the correct shape. The i division's airy, new-materials openness, as seen in the i3 and iX, doesn't show up here. Much further than our Polestar 2 experiences. In warmer temps, or if you keep the car plugged in to warm it before you set off, 280 is easy, and off-motorway we've seen 3.6m/kWh or about 300 miles. That was with the optional 19-inch tyres, which cost about 10 miles. ![]() In the British winter at British motorway speed, our real range in the eDrive 40 was comfortably 250 miles, at 3.1miles/kWh. ![]()
